Describe the matter in your own words. Include the dates and the documents you hold — that is usually enough for a first view. We reply to enquiries within two working days.

Enquiries

Enquiry form and offices

Sending this form does not create a solicitor–client relationship. We will confirm in writing if we can act.

Hours

Office hours and appointments

Both offices are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and closed on public holidays. The Lagos office is attended by appointment rather than by walk-in, because the lawyers there are often in court or at the land registry during the day.

Notarisation and attestation are by appointment only, at either office. Bring the original document and a valid means of identification. Some instruments must be signed in the presence of the notary, so confirm the requirements for your document before travelling.

If a matter is urgent and outside office hours, say so in the enquiry and we will tell you whether it can wait until the next working day.

Disclaimer

What the form does and does not do

Sending this form starts a conversation. It does not make us your lawyers, it does not create a solicitor–client relationship, and it does not mean we have agreed to act. We become your lawyers only when we have confirmed in writing that we can act and you have accepted our terms of engagement.

Do not send confidential documents through this form. Describe the matter first; if we can act, we will tell you how to send the papers securely. Anything sent before an engagement is confirmed is received on the basis that it is not privileged.

Deadlines matter. If a court date, filing deadline or limitation period is approaching, telephone the office as well as sending the form, because an enquiry in a queue is not a step taken in your matter.
